ABOUT
Blackstone was the brainchild of former RCMP forensic video analyst and licensed security consultant David McKay. Through years of analyzing and examining video evidence captured by surveillance systems, Mr. McKay was shocked at the number of systems that were deficient for one reason or another. It was discovered that many CCTV systems were providing inadequate visual evidence, which often left the customer vulnerable to further criminal activity. Essentially, what could potentially be a very powerful security tool was in some cases worthless.
The current marketplace reflects a large majority of security related businesses providing claimed "expertise" in video surveillance technology, but not from a law enforcement perspective. Dave's combination of previous law enforcement experience and knowledge of current and future CCTV technology allows Blackstone to provide those in the private and public sectors with a professional, yet cost-effective video based security solution that works.
This expertise brings a unique perspective to the prevention of crime and the apprehension of criminals using video surveillance technology. With the creation of Blackstone, Dave could now offer his clients a custom designed, high-quality CCTV surveillance system that would adequately protect life and property and in the case of criminal activity, provide superior visual evidence when it mattered.
In an effort to stay cutting-edge, Blackstone has formed a unique relationship with the British Columbia Institute of Technology, to manage their advanced Forensic Video Technology Lab. This will allow Blackstone to stay on top of technology as it emerges, while continuing our relationship with various law enforcement agencies through training and education.
